It's funny how weekends are what we all work towards every week, with the exception of those that work on weekends, like my husband for instance! Weekends also give us the opportunity to slow down a bit and share with family, just like now!
I hope everyone is doing well. I do miss you all very much. In a perfect world, we would all live in one community and be a part of each other's every day life! I know, I'm dreaming, but if you think about it, it will ultimately happen one glorious day!
Ok, I'm rambling aren't I? Talk about random thoughts! I guess that's what happens when you realize just how blessed you are. I realized how blessed I am that my husband and K-9 companion, Fredy, are still with me.
RMPD lost one of their beloved K-9's yesterday. He died saving his master's life. How honorable and loving of K-9 Danny, but how lost and hurt Officer Hicks and his family are suffering right now.

People often ask me how I sleep at night knowing my husband is a police officer and could lose his life at any moment. In one simple word, FAITH, I tell them. Faith that God will protect him and that if I ever do lose him to the dishonorable, corrupt and evil world he fights to protect, I'll know it was part of God's plan. It wasn't in God's plan to take Officer Hicks yesterday, so God sent his K-9 angel, Danny, to protect him.
Ok, I know I need a hankie after writing this, but hopefully I haven't depressed you all too greatly.
On a brighter note; Aunt Judy it was great to see you the other week! You too Uncle Joe, Jimmy and Allen! I'm so glad you guys came to Rocky Mount. I sure wish you could have stayed longer.
Well, I guess I better let you all get back to your families and the weekend. They tend to go by so fast and this could turn into a long novel. I guess I had a lot to say, huh? I'm just glad I have the chance to share with my family.

Great to hear from you! I too know how it is to get to busy to post, but eventually, we all make it back around. :)
You of all people know what kind of crazies live in this world. You get to deal with them after they are caught. I'm just glad you work for attornies that put them away instead of defend them!
Daddy is doing much better than before. He's still hard-headed though. He wants to work in the garden and stay outside all the time. We have to literally force him to stay out of the humid heat. It's not good for him!
How are you all doing? Have you guys had any more family pictures taken? If so, I'd like to purchase one if possible. I finally got around to unpacking picture frames LOL! That reminds me, I need to bug our siblings about a new family portrait, too. I for one refuse to have one taken until I lose about 20 lbs!
